Anita Kamarinos Obituary

Anita Marie Kamarinos

September 21, 1944 - January 21, 2026

Anita Marie Kamarinos, a beloved resident of Yuma, Arizona, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on September 21, 1944, Anita dedicated much of her life to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher with Yuma School District One. Her patience, warmth, and genuine love for children left a lasting impact on generations of students who remember her as a gentle and encouraging presence in the classroom. Anita received her education through Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois; earning her bachelor degree in science and later receiving her masters degree in education.

Anita was a loving daughter to her parents, Dr. Francis J. Hultgen and Mathilde M. Hultgen; a devoted wife to her late husband, Ted Kamarinos, and a loving mother to her son, Peter Kamarinos. She cherished her role as grandmother to Kenzie Kamarinos and Parker Kamarinos, delighting in their laughter, milestones, and everyday moments.

She is survived by her brothers, Phillip Hultgen and Richard Hultgen.

Anita will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in the many fond memories she leaves behind and in knowing the love she shared will live on in their hearts.

A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anita's memory may be made to a local charity she supported highlighting the importance of sports and education.
