I will choose to remember all the amazing times we shared and the joy April had when her baby girl was born.....she was her world. ❤ Karisa will be okay, she will forever miss her Momma but we will do everything and anything to keep her safe, loved and adored. April can now rest in peace without worry or pain.

I would want April to know that her Karisa will always be taken care of and given all the support that she needs, and all the love, and remind her of her mom's love for her. Your with God now April no worries.

I was shocked and saddened to read about April. She was a junior high student of mine when I taught in Dove Creek 35 years ago and often rode with me to school. She was delightful. Our paths didn't cross in recent years but I thought of her family often. Thank you for the courage to share her story. I love the quote by Thomas Merton--"Faith is agreeing to live without resolution." There is so much in life we don't understand.

Unfortunately because life takes over I have not seen April in many years but what I remember is that it didn't matter what mood I was in or how I felt, the moment I would see her a smile would come over my face. Because ever time I saw her she had a smile and if her smile wasn't good enough to make me smile she knew exactly what to say to make it happen. For all the hurt, hate, and sadness I have encountered in life I just want to say thank you April for the smiles.

April was my friend for 30 plus years. I will miss her more than I can put into words. She helped give me the chance to start my life over and introduced me to my husband. I was truly blessed to know her and I pray for peace and healing for her family.

No words can express my sorrow for your loss. Every time I ran into April she always had a smile on her face, you would never expect that she was hiding so much pain. God bless you all.

There are no words to express my sorrow for all her loved ones! She always had a smile on her face you would never know by talking to her that she was in so much pain! God bless you all!
