Betty Nemeth Obituary

Betty Ingle Nemeth, 92, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of the late Stephen Alexander Nemeth, Jr. entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 22, 2025. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Betty was born September 12, 1932, in Winfield, Alabama, daughter of the late Newton Dowell Ingle and the late Jossie Sims Ingle. She was a Professor of Library Science. She attended Summerville Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Betty enjoyed working in her yard but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Alexander Nemeth, III and wife Lee of North Charleston, SC; grandchild, Holt Conrad Nemeth; and many loved nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Stephen Alexander Nemeth, Jr., parents, and five siblings.
