Beverly Manley Obituary

Beverly June Pretti Manley passed away peacefully into her next life at the Hospice Palliative Care Center in Grand Junction, Colo. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the age of 78 years old.

She was born June 24, 1934, to Francis Joseph Pretti and Mabel Evelyn Merrihew at the Pretti family homestead on Silt Mesa, Colo.

Beverly was a homemaker most of her adult life; she greatly enjoyed making large homemade holiday dinners for her family. She also spent long hours researching the Pretti family genealogy, which she also enjoyed tremendously.

In 1993 Beverly suffered a life-changing stroke. Although it limited her physical abilities, it never altered her spirited personality or ability to laugh and accept her challenges in life.

Beverly is survived by her loving companion, best friend and inspiration to persevere through her challenges, Don Coulson; her daughter, Kathy (Steve) Glazner of Cortez; her sons, Mark (Cori) Henderson of Gilbert, Ariz. and David (Kristi) Henderson of Centennial, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ted (Phyliss) Pretti of Ogden, Utah; and by her little four-legged companion, Buddy, who she loved dearly.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one sister.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Hospice Palliative Care Center of Western Colorado.

Memorial services are set for Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. at Martin Mortuary in Grand Junction.
