Carolyn Tanner Obituary

Carolyn Anne Tanner age 71, passed away on October 3, 2017 in Cortez, Colo., as a result of lung and liver cancer. She was born in Cortez on July 1, 1946 the daughter of John Cornett ""Cooney"" Ketchem and Marjorie Frances MacLeod. Carol graduated Montezuma Cortez High School in 1964. She married Harold Rodney Tanner in 1965. Together they had twin daughters Rhonda Kae and Mitzi Anne on June 23, 1967. Carol loved horses and barrel racing and participated in it all of her life. She loved to sew, read and sight see. Carol had five granddaughters, Kalysha Manzo, Bailie Pierce, Kyndahl Pierce, Josie Majors and Tatum Majors; and one great grandson, Dawsyn Rae McCabe. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all of Carol's medical caregivers, Visiting Angels and Dr. Erin Henderson of Cortez, Colo. Arrangements are being made through Ertel Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and as per Carol's request no services are planned.
