Christine Trentman Obituary
Graveside inurnment services for longtime Cortez resident Christine Joy "Chris" Trentman will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 16 at Cortez Cemetery.
Chris was born July 12, 1944 in Kensington, England the daughter of Malcomb and Dorothy (Womack) Bennett. She passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her daughter's residence in San Tan Valley, Ariz. at the age of 71.
Chris came to the United States on the Queen Mary in 1945 and her family settled in Lubbock, Tex. In 1959 Chris moved to Cortez where she lived and made home until a few months prior to her passing. Chris welcomed two loving daughters into her life, Emily in 1963 and Victoria in 1965. In her free time, Chris loved to read and watch birds. Her greatest joys came from gambling with her dearest Bill and accompanying him on journeys in his semi truck.
Surviving Chris are her children, Emily Bridgewater (Don), Victoria Pierce, Jim Bridgewater (Puff), all of Cortez; her grandchildren, Amanda Antholz, Halle Pierce and Cayden Worcester, all of Cortez; her sister, Cheryl Stauffer (Kirk) of Cortez; her brother-in-law, James Bridgewater (Doris) of Cortez; her nieces, Paula Bostrom (David) and Michelle Stauffer, all of Cortez; and by her great-niece and great-nephew, Jacob and Sidney Bostrom of Cortez. Chris was preceded in death by her parents; and by the love of her life, Bill Bridgewater.
Memorial contributions may be made in Christine Trentman's name to Hospice of Montezuma P.O. Box 740, Cortez, Colo. 81321.
