Clarence Exon Obituary

Clarence Henry Exon died at the age of 86 on Monday, May 16, 2011, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M. He was born to Henry and Myrtle Exon in Mancos, Colo., on March 15, 1925. Clarence graduated from Mancos High School and entered Fort Lewis College. After college, he met and married Bonnie Jean Flora on May 18, 1950, in Farmington.

Clarence is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Jean (Flora) Exon and their four children and families: Marcia (Gene) Allen of Fruitland, N.M.; son, Henry (Debbie) Exon of Amarillo, Texas; Ramona (Tom) Bussard of El Paso, Texas; and Rebecca Exon of Farmington. He is also survived by his brother, Dewey (Janna) Exon of Oakley, Idaho; his sisters, Lorene Eaton of Kirtland, N.M., Wilma (Horner) Hartley of Cortez, Neva (Jim) Gagnebin of Farmington; and eight grandchildren; and by 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Myrtle Exon; brother, Robert (Enid) Exon; sister, Rosezella (Bill) Morris; brother-in-law, Wayne Eaton; and nephews, Orlin Exon, Scott Waller, Michael Hartley, Gary Eaton and Chans Stone.

Clarence was buried at Greenmount Cemetery, 900 Cemetery Road in Durango. Pallbearers were Benjamin Bussard, Steven Bussard, (Nathan) Nathaniel Exon, John Exon, Matthew Hartley, Sterling Morris, (Jaime) William James Exon, and (Andy) Andrew Denton Exon.
