Cody Johnson Obituary

Memorial services for lifelong Cortez resident Cody Mark Johnson will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Lewis Arriola Community Center.

Cody was born Sept. 9, 1988 in Cortez, the son of Phillip Mark and Linda Kay (Williams) Johnson. He passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 in Brown Township, Ohio at the age of 24.

A 2007 graduate of Dolores High School, Cody was a car and truck enthusiast; he especially enjoyed the fast ones. He spent time employed in the automotive painting industry and currently, Cody was working as shop manager for a trucking company.

Surviving Cody are his parents, Mark and Linda Johnson of Cortez; his grandmother, Maxine Johnson of Cahone; his sister, Amy Johnson of Denver; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Junior Johnson, Theresa Williams and Charles Williams; and by his cousin, Barbara Lynn Johnson.
