Dale Lemmon Obituary

Memorial services for lifelong Cortez resident Dale Alfred Lemmon will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Bishop Tim Lanier will officiate.

Dale was born October 21, 1937 in Craig, Colo. the son of Alfred George and Grace Pearl (Wright) Lemmon. He passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.

Dale worked in the oilfields for many years to provide for his family. He was the "Snap-on Tool Man" where he made lifelong friends and touched many people's lives throughout the Four Corners area. After he raised his girls and he was able to pursue his real passions, he started the Searcher Off-Roading Video Production Company. Dale traveled from coast to coast filming off-road 4-wheel drive trails where he met many people who were privileged to know him! He was a trail guide for Jeep Jamboree and touched many people throughout the world. Dale would give you the shirt off his back and his wit and humor were unparalleled. He enjoyed many hobbies, he was a commercial pilot and a hot air balloon pilot, snowmobiler, hiker, and hunter. Dale's most favorite activity was spending time with his family in the outdoors.

Dale leaves behind his best friend since high school, his lovely wife, Joann Lemmon; his daughters, Roxy Holaday (Johnny) of Cahone, Renee Galyon (Tony) of Castle Rock, Colo., Robin Semadeni (Steve) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rochelle Berlemon (Cheryl) of Yaphank, N.Y., and Christine Kaiser (Eddy) of Cortez; by 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; by his sister, Eleanor Spencer of Roy, Utah; and by his godchild, Angie Abercrombie. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; by his grandchildren, Joshua Dale Semadeni and Mackenzie Ann Kaiser; and by his brother-in-law, Paul Spencer.
