1944 - 2024

Jim left us from the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Grand Junction on July 30, 2024 with his family by his side. A Military Honor Service was held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery on August 14.

Jim was born to James Page and Evelyn Howard Kyle on November 18, 1944, in Fruita, Colorado. He attended schools in Palisade, Meeker and Grand Junction before moving to Cortez in the eighth grade. He Graduated from MCHS in 1962. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, he served for 6 years. Jim was married twice and divorced. He attended Fort Lewis College and returned to California where he was an entrepreneur and carpenter before returning to Grand Junction in 2004 to be near his mother. He worked as a carpenter before retiring. His hobbies were woodworking and watching his favorite teams, the Broncos, Colorado Rockies and Mesa Mavericks play ball.

Jim is survived by his sons, Tim Kyle of Covington, LA, Justin Kyle and Grandson, London of Santa Ana CA, his sisters, Sandra Pyle of Dolores and Mari Martin of Denver along with several nieces and nephews. He leaves good friends in Grand Junction, especially Chris and Caleb. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Nic Kyle and nephew, Richard Russell. We will all miss his sense of humor.
