Ina Huff Obituary

Ina Inez Huff passed away at her rural Cortez home on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the age of 88. She was born the daughter of Ural Ballard and Lillie Belle (Eastwood) Ballard on July 8, 1923 in Oklahoma. In Kansas City, Kan., Inez wed Alvie Linden Huff on Jan. 20, 1941. Her family remembers her as an outstanding cook, a talent that she used when she owned her own restaurant.

Inez was very artistic in several directions. She loved quilting and doing needlepoint as well as gardening and raising flowers. Inez also loved to go fishing.

Surviving Inez are her two daughters, Vicki Anderson and husband Kay of Lewis and Terry Tanner and husband Jack of rural Cortez; seven grandchildren, Kathy Harris, George Deavers, Donnie Tanner, Holly Cosner, Ronny Love, Kami Porter, and Krissy Love; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Alvie Huff; a daughter, Sandy Robbins; and her brother, Eugene Ballard.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
