I had the honor of meeting and working with Jack as a seasonal employee with the USFS. He loved to tease us midwestern gals. I learned to drive a stick shift with Jack. I remember driving on the reservation along wild horses, boating on Lake Powell, and lots of cookouts at the cabin listening to wonderful stories and tipping a few beer together. Too many memories to write here. To his wife La Nita and all your family, please know that I will never forget Jack. He made my experience in the west so unforgettable. I know a few years have passed since his departure from this world, but know that he was a great man and I have fond memories that will last my lifetime. God bless you all.

So sorry for for all the Family. Jack is remembered by many of us who went to school with his children. He really did love animals. I remember the porcupine! And hay ride! Best wishes family.

So sorry for your loss. Jack was a special kind of person. He and LaNita really made us feel very welcome as new people to the wonderful Mancos Valley. Always had a few good laughs and good times together. Jack will be missed but not forgotten.

I am so very blessed to have been raised and loved by the Fitzgerald family. Growing up, Uncle Jack was always in our lives. Wild Ones snowmobile club, Fishing, at lake powell, the streams above transfer, Roosevelt lake, and, well pretty much anywhere you fould catch a fish!
hunting, bow camp, i remember riding in the back of his pickup truck, tracking down deer and elk. Eating all the smoked oysters when they had get togethers, Helping build the cabin at spring creek and spending Christmas there, which is and has been the best Christmas in my whole life. He was definitely ornery, i think that is a must, being a Fitzgerald though, it is a Fitzgerald trait that i will always have!!! He would always be silly with his false teeth that would make me giggle every time. He had grandma's touch making her dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. I am glad i shared a couple MGD's with him as an adult. He will be one of my many favorite uncles, and i will miss him dearly, i am so very blessed and greatful for having him in my life.
