James Brown Obituary
He is survived by his wife Elaine Brown; from a previous marriage, his two sons Kevin and Brendan Brown and his daughter Hawkeye Lynn Sheene; his two stepsons Colton and Devon Reed; and his stepdaughter Brean Shoopman. James was preceded in passing by his parents, Floyd and Goldie Brown; and his three sisters Carol Ann Brown, Wanda Schafer, and Dena Balensky. James was a heavy machinery mechanic for many years. After retiring, he practiced silversmithing, cowboy poetry, and making and playing the Native American flute. Following his desires, James will be cremated, and his ashes spread in the mountains he loved. No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to: Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Drawer 740, Cortez, Colorado 81321.
