James McNeal Obituary
James L. McNeal, "Buddy," passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Sutter Solano Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on May 20, 1946, in Greenville, MI, to Clarence and Georgia Thomas McNeal.
James went to local schools, graduating from Vallejo Senior High School and later attending Solano Community College. He served his country in U.S. Navy.
James enjoyed collecting coins, gold mining, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Shawana , Jadia, and Mekeda McNeal (Buddy Jr.); step-children, Aishah, Johnny, and Gibrib Devine; sister, Hattie Smith-Miles; brothers, Isaiah, Robert, Richard, and David; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-greandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Georgia McNeal; brothers, Willie Clarence, Charlie, and Adam; and sister, Susiette.
A celebration of James' life will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 11 a.m., at Calvary Community Church, 585 Mini Drive, Vallejo. Donations in his memory may be sent to 150 Candy Drive, Vallejo CA 94589.
