Janet was my childhood best friend in Yonkers, NY. I remember building a fort in her parents' lot ( torn down by the gardener), a two person parade down Rosedale Rd, me pulling her in my wagon, Janet dressed in a harem dance costume, childhood birthday parties... so many warm memories. My sister Aileen was Leslie's best friend. I haven't been in touch with Janet for decades, but thinking of Janet Goldman brings a smile.
