Janice Badback Obituary

Services for Towaoc resident Janice Kay Whiteman Badback were held at 2 p.m. on March 27 at the Towaoc Recreation Center. Interment followed at Cortez Cemetery. A Wake took place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Badback residence, 223 Dry Creek Road.

Janice was born June 19, 1958, in Clinton, Okla., the daughter of Marietta Whiteman. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at age 55.

On April 13, 1973, Janice married Davis Badback. They shared almost 41 years of marriage. Janice was a member of the Towaoc Community Church, where she loved to sing. She loved her grandkids and was an inspirational grandmother.

Survivors include are her husband, Davis Badback of Towaoc; her mom who raised her, Edith Bissonette of Hammond, Okla.; her children, Clinton Badback and wife, Rochelle of Price, Utah, Marcus Tom of Fort Duchesne, Utah, Ezkiel Lee, Latoya Tom, Eunicia Badback, Trezdon Bissonette, Eldon House, Joaquin Mills, Quamora Tom, Xavior Lopez, Acasia Lee, Vance Lee, Manning Lee, Elijah Lee, and Aden House all of Towaoc; numerous grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; siblings Chester Whiteman of Gary, Okla., Betty Whiteman of Oklahoma City, James Osage of Oklahoma City, Dennis Whiteman of Artesia, N.M., Gerald Whiteman of Phoenix, and Vina Bissonette of Hammond, Okla.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by mother Marietta Whiteman; daughter Eunice Badback; and siblings Lynn Osage, Coleen Osage, Wesley Osage, Milton Osage, and Alice Osage.
