Dear Margie and family, We have known Jean since around 1989 when we purchased land from the Baders. It has been a pleasure knowing Jean and she lived a good, long and prosperous life. We will miss her. Both Jean and Clay were an important part of the fabric of this community contributing in so many ways. We can all be proud of them. Sincerely, Kerry and Mary O'Brien

Margie,Kelly, and family--my condolences on Jean's passing. I have thousands of fond memories of both Jean and Clay. They were wonderful people that we should all strife to imitate. The CURRENT Fort Lewis owes their existence in a large part thanks to the efforts of the Baders--not only their early years at the 'old fort' but also their continued support on the 'new' campus. I believe Jean might have been the last, or one of the last, from the 'old fort' group and this is a tremendous loss for us all. RIP Jean Bader, and thanks for setting such high standards for the rest of us to try to attain in our lives.

My prayers go out to all of you in the passing of Jean. She has been a big part of my life since we came to Mancos in 1949. Involved with the church and friends with my mom and dad. She taught me bridge and then I played with her for many years. Loved her very much and she will be missed. Love, Roma.

There is definitely a whole left in the Mancos community with the passing of Jean. I am a better person for having had her wealth of knowledge to rely on. It feels like one of my moms is gone. We will all miss her. Love, Jody
