Jerri Robbins Obituary

Jerri L. (Eason) Robbins, born 9-7-1955, passed away at home surrounded by family after a courageous fight with Breast Cancer on 5-1-15. Jerri did not let having cancer stop her from living, and met every obstacle head on. She continued to do what she loved and traveled to any place she could throughout her battle. She enjoyed gardening, anything outdoors, crocheting, knitting, traveling, shooting, and spending time with her grandkids who all called her Grandma Jelli. Jerri was the first female Vice President and President of the Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Club and started the Women on Target Program. Jerri leaves behind memories of unbound strength and courage, as well as many friendships. She is preceded in death by her father James L. Eason, her mother Edna I. Eason, and her brother Jim Eason. Jerri is survived by her husband Marty Robbins, children Bret Baker, Kara Baker, Krystal Baker, step-children Jubal Robbins, Lana Robbins, grandchildren Chad Moore, Brook Moore, Brendan Baker, Kaitlyn Nickols, and Brayden Ross, in addition to many others she was like a mother to and her dog Ipo;. Friends and family are invited to join in a Celebration of Jerri's life to be held at date.

Jerri was my neighbor for a short time as I just moved here and always had helpful advice about living her in Cortez. I will miss her. I pray the family and Marty know that she is now resting in peace. God bless all the family and friends that will truly miss her.
Love and Blessings,

My condolences to the Family. Such a well-lived person will surely be missed. May you rely on family and friends who share your loss for comfort and may God grant your family peace and strength as you cope with this and realize that He will soon eliminate all the suffering and pain caused by death by means of His Kingdom which Jesus asked us to pray for. Matthew 6:9,10

I don't have many friends, but I did, and always will, count Jerri among them. I admired her for her strength, and for ability to remain positive. That was always the case with her. I had the privilege of working with her, and she was solid. She was solid because she cared, and because she was tenacious. But I was also lucky to know her outside of work, where she carried the same strength. I miss her, and wish Marty and the rest of her family the best.

Jerri was my successor, then became my predecessor. I felt honored to meet her and talk to her on a few occassions. She, like my mother, was a Warrior Princess in the battle against breast cancer. My heartfelt condolences to all of her family.
