John Tunnell Obituary

Memorial services for Cortez resident John C. Tunnell will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 14 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1304 E. Empire Cortez, CO 81321. John C. Tunnell fell asleep in death on October 7, 2016 at the age of 87. A loving and generous man who will be fondly remembered by all those who his life touched.

"If a man dies, can he live again? You will call, and I will answer you." - Job 14:14, 15 John came home from the Korean War in 1954 and found his precious love, Belle, who survives him after 61 years of marriage.

In 1974 he began the most important relationship of his life as a dedicated worshiper of Jehovah God, to whom he was faithful and loyal until his death. John is also survived by his children: Angela Tunnell, Thomas C. Tunnell and wife Selina, John D. Tunnell and wife Patricia; grandchildren: Audra Tunnell, Cory Tunnell and wife Cinda, James Tunnell and wife Tara and 3 great grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Ertel Funeral Home.
