John Wright Obituary
Born in Cortez CO, he was a son of the late John Kenneth and Nell Jeanne Hopper Wright. He was a graduate of Cortez High School, Class of 1963, and a graduate of Colorado State University, Class of 1973. Mr. Wright was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from the construction business.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 34 years of the home are: his brother, Jim (Susan) Wright of Plainview TX; his brother-in-law, John Williams of Honea Path SC; nieces, Monica (Charles) Patrick of Bryan TX and Julie (Brad) Snellgrove of Painview TX.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents; his son, John Stephen Wright; a brother, Andy Wright; and a niece, Erin Cruz.
Memorial services with military honors will held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path SC, with Rev. Jim Wright officiating.
The family will have a reception at the funeral home after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations in memory of John be made to the charity of one's choice. Messages of condolence may be made to the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com

I just received word from my brother Wes of John's passing. John is my cousin. Although we have not kept in touch in our adult years I have many fond memories of our growing up years. Johnny, Andy and Jimmy were my favorite cousins and Aunt Jeanne my favorite aunt.
