Johnnie Carver Obituary

Johnnie D. Carver Jr. of Cortez passed away June 30, 2018. Johnnie was born in Cortez on September 19, 1930 to John D. Carver Sr. and Lula (Taylor) Carver.

He was a long-time hay farmer and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II.

He joins his parents and stepmother, Josie (Clawson) Carver. He is also reunited with siblings Leone Dennison, Dale Carver, Uel Hackett, Dan Carver, Lourna Moore, Bonnie Rust, Tom Carver, Darrell Carver, Patsy Sproul, Sara Fish, Judy Fish, Billy Clawson, and his first wife Ruth Ann (Gifford) Carver.

He is survived by his wife Sandy, sister Milda Jo Sitton, sister-in-law Dorothy Carver and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind three step-children and their spouses as well as six step-grandchildren, all of Pueblo, CO.

At Johnnie's request there will be no service.

Celebrate in Heaven, Johnny. Your smile and daily visits at the coffee shops kept me sane on more than one occasion. Dance with Ruthie, hug her once for me. I will miss you.
