Joshua Garner Obituary

Joshua James Garner, 40, died on January 15, 2025. He lost an argument with depression. Joshua was born on August 16th, 1984 in Durango, Colorado. He grew up in Cortez, Colorado and graduated from Montezuma Cortez High School in 2002.
Joshua loved going to Lake Powell and grew up jumping off the roof of the houseboat and off cliffs. He loved to swim, fish and ride Sea-Doo's. He also enjoyed playing video and card games. Joshua was also a huge Denver Bronco's and Nuggets fan.
Joshua met and married Nicole and they created a beautiful, smart, and wonderful daughter who was born on February 18th, 2015, named Carlie Belle Garner. Carlie was Josh's pride and joy. He loved the time he got to spend doing many different things with her.
Joshua worked in customer support at Fi-Serve Corp for quite a while. He earned many awards and promotions. He then went to work for Wells Fargo Banking.
Joshua is survived by his beautiful daughter Carlie and ex-wife Nicole; his mother Karen Garner-Cordova and stepfather Gerald Cordova; his brother Mike Finley, wife Kelly and beautiful niece Brielle; his aunt, Patty Lackey and Uncle Roy Lackey and cousins Michael and Curtis Lackey; his uncle Verl and wife Bridgitte Garner, and cousins Tiffany Villapando and husband Randy, and wonderful, cousins Lacey and Makenzie; uncle Steve Garner and wife Jesse; and uncle Louis Stoll and wife Beth.
A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Westview RV Resort near Cortez.

I am so sorry to learn of this horrible tragedy! Josh and I went to school together from elementary all the way through graduation. We were friends for many years before going our separate ways after school. He has always been a great person and will be missed greatly! My prayers will be sent for his daughter and other family members!
