Keith Hutcheson Obituary

The list of people who "made a difference" in my life most assuredly includes Keith. We journeyed to Durango for meetings and shared facilitation in a CODA group that three of us originated in Cortez. In addition, we shared and helped each other grow in our individual spiritual journeys, ultimately, living daily life in a more peaceful and loving way.

We had a great visit shortly before his passing, sitting in his back yard viewing the Ute Mountain and revisiting how far our journey's had brought us. My last memory of him will be a very wise man sharing lots of laughter and a few tears.

Keith was an incredibly creative man. He was my art teacher throughout high school. I don´t think I truly appreciated him then. But I learned a lot. Then we were colleagues for many years. He never stopped thinking up new projects for students that would challenge them. He was a great colleague to work with. He got excited about his work and what he could teach his students. He was a very kind man. I think he continued to mellow with age. He accepted what life handed him with grace. I am very saddened that his life ended in this way. He still had so much more to give.

Very sad news. What a swell man and artist. He will truly be missed by many that knew him. R.I.P. dear one.
