Larry Bingham Obituary

Larry Eldon Bingham was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Longmont, Colo., the son of Arther and Irene (Tarr) Bingham. He passed away at his Dove Creek home on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the age of 74.

Larry owned and operated Bingham Construction, Inc. He also owned Rusty's Bar in Dove Creek for several years. Larry was a member of the Troy Young VFW Post No. 5181 in Dove Creek as well as the Montrose Carpenters Union. Loving the outdoors, Larry enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving Larry are his daughter Julie Bingham of Dove Creek; sons Jerry Bingham; and wife, Susan of Delta, Colo., Johnny Bingham and wife, Ronda of Montrose, Colo., and Jesse Bingham and wife, Cara of Dove Creek; stepson Kim Tacke of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Ann Ellis of Denver, Colo., Lorraine Sturgen and husband, Dallas of Denver, Colo., and Jean Scott and husband, Mike of Olathe, Colo.; brother Harlan Bingham and wife Sharon of Olathe, Colo.; and sister in-law, Leola Bingham of Texas.

He was preceded in death by wife Donna Bingham; parents Arther and Irene Bingham; brother Tommy Bingham; and brother in- law Warren Ellis.

Cremation has taken place, and a family memorial service will be held.
