Larry Greenlee Obituary

Graveside services for Larry Joseph Greenlee will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery, 1900 West Mountain, Fort Collins, Colo.

Larry was born in Cortez on Dec. 31, 1944. He died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his home in Sterling, Colo., at the age of 68.

He served in the Marine Corps and was stationed in DaNang, Vietnam. He was active in veterans' affairs in the Sterling area. He worked tirelessly to see that all veterans' needs were met, whatever they may have been. He will be laid to rest with military honors.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur (Red) Greenlee and Josephine (Jo) Greenlee. He is survived by his two sons, Shandy Greenlee and wife Krista, and Rusty Greenlee of Fort Collins; their mother Kitty Greenlee of Greeley; three grandsons, Jax, Tyler, and Alex; one granddaughter, Emilee; brothers Lynn Greenlee and wife Elaine of Canon City; Ed Greenlee and wife Kathy, and Richard Greenlee and wife Joyce, all of Cortez; sisters Glenna Hodge, Dorothy Jo Carver and Leah Greenlee, all of Cortez, and Delora Dixon and husband Gary of Fort Collins; aunts Catherine Lichliter and Janice Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Marine Corps League Denver Chapter, c/o Allnutt Funeral and Crematory, 650 West Drake Rd., Ft. Collins, CO 80526.
