Lawrence Maestas Obituary
Larry was born on January 23, 1935, in McPhee, Colorado, to Joseph B. Maestas and Caroline O. Archuleta, and was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church on February 2, 1935. Larry married Roberta O. Cockrell in Aztec, New Mexico on November 7, 1955. They were together 54 years before her passing on August 19, 2009.
Larry is also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Claude; and siblings, Rudy Maestas and Dorothy O'Bryant. He is survived by his children, Dean Maestas, Vicki Ives, and Heidi Maestas; his siblings, David Maestas, and Marci Roundtree; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry was a soldier, world traveler, and lifelong student.
Services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 3 p.m.

Been many years ago but always in my heart, there's no right words or magic words, but now is a time to let it go, be at peace within your selfs, as we are now the adults it's so hard to say thinking back on all the fun and crazy things we did, now it's weird we lost our parents and our brothers Joe, anyway thoughts and prayers are with you all love y'all
