Margaret "Lois" Speer Hillman, passed away peacefully at home June 2, 2025. She was 65 years old.

Lois was born in Cortez, Colorado, to Julian and Sophie Speer. She was raised Dolores before moving to Cortez.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Amber Robinson (Scott), and her grandchildren: Isaac, Dominic, Bella, Candice and Chloe and her son, Brandon (Tanner), Brandon Jr., Siriniti and Harley Ovard and fiancé. Also by sisters, Anita Martinez, Cordie Watts, Josephine Killey, Betty Goodall, Debbie Speer, Esther Speer and Tina Speer-Hager, brothers Robert Speer, Arthur Speer, Richard Speer, Tony Speer, and Darrell Speer.

She was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Sophie Speer; sisters Theresa Garcia, Juanita Valdez, Martha Garcia and Romancita Speer: brothers Albert and Billy Speer.

A viewing was held on Friday June 6, 2025 followed by a celebration of life at the local VFW. We thank Dr. Jason Stinnett, Tina Speer-Hager and staff at Utah Cancer Specialists (Layton), as well as Quality Home Care and Hospice, for the care given to Lois in her last days.

It was the honor for her to be with her in her final days. She was deeply loved. Every time you hear Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, think of her and smile, as we will.
