Marjorie Campbell Obituary

Margie was the fifth child born to Leo R. & Mertie A. Hill in Cortez, Colorado. Margie attended Cortez Grammar School's and graduated from M.C.H.S. in 1970.

She met Jim Campbell in 1973, which turned out to be the love of her life, they married on August 19, 1973. This union spanned 51 years together and produced a son, whom she was very proud of, Nicholas Campbell.

In their early years together they followed Jim's job with the state, DOT, before they settled in Dolores, Colorado. Working for the state meant several more moves before they settled in Cortez and bought a home.

Margie had worked at Bob's Drive-In before she had married, and renewed the relationship, working there for fifteen years filling all positions, of the Drive-In business.

Having an interest in Journalism, she went to work for the local newspaper. She enjoyed the job, and was there for several years, working as a proofreader.

When Jim retired they decided to move closer to their son, who owned a business in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Margie was a devoted wife and mother. She was always there to listen to her sisters, or visit. She will be missed for her sense of humor, listening ear, or lending a hand if needed. Margie was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church on 11/02/2024 between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.
