Marjorie Duquette Obituary

Marjorie (Marge) Duquette, 80, a former long-time resident passed away on April 22, 2025 at her home in Santa Fe, NM. Marge was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI where she lived until moving to Cortez in the late 90's. After retiring, she ventured into the antique business having booths in Cortez, Dolores, Durango and for a brief period Farmington, NM. Weekends for her was trying to be the first in line at estate sales and attending auctions. In addition, she volunteered at Mesa Verde as a docent. Marge is survived by her daughter Dr. Danielle Duquette, sons Dale Duquette of Taylor, MI and Leo (Denise) Duquette of Wayne, MI, her grandchildren Risa and Keith Bridge and Gerald and Daniel Duquette also of Wayne, MI; and her sister, Kathy Talcott of Washington NC. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Leslie Duquette.

Oh, Margie!! I've missed you, and the friendship we had. I don't know what made you end it back in 2010, but I wish I knew. Whatever it was, I am so sorry. I've thought about you all these years, and checked up on you through Google every once in a while. I didn't expect to read that you and Leslie were gone. My heart breaks for the friendship we'd had all those years ago. I love you, my friend, as that's what I always considered you. Maybe we'll see each other again in Heaven. I will definitely plant a tree in your honor. I just wish I knew what kind you liked.
