Richard Stacer Obituary

A Celebration of Life for Richard Thomas "Rick" Stacer will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Ertel Memorial Chapel.

Rick was born June 5, 1956 in Seattle, Wash. the son of Richard Kent and Evelyn Harriett Stacer. He passed away at his Cortez home on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the age of 57.

Attending the University of California at San Diego, Rick graduated with a double major. He was a Pharmacy Technician at the Cortez Wal-Mart Pharmacy working closely with his co-workers. Rick was always very friendly and a helpful person to many. He was a very spiritual person and always willing to give. In Rick's free time, he enjoyed collecting stones, gems and minerals.

Surviving Rick are his mother, Evelyn R. Stacer of Mancos; his domestic partner, Cheryal Jefferson of Cortez; brother, Jefferson L. Stacer and wife, Dr. Deena Stacer of San Diego, Calif.; and sister, Tara J. Stacer of Cortez. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Stacer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope's Kitchen, P.O. Box 1016, Cortez, Colo. 81321.
