Robby Raney Obituary

Robby Wayne Raney was born on Aug. 31, 1970. God called him home on March 9, 2012.

Rob was born and raised in Gallup, N.M. He graduated from Gallup High School in 1989 then attended college in Las Cruces, N.M. He then returned to Gallup where he met Carla Dawn Myers. They were married on Aug. 20, 1993 in Dove Creek. Two children were born, Cole Thomas on Dec. 18, 1997 and Amber Leigh on April 1, 2002.

Rob loved the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing. Rob also loved auto mechanics and racing. Rob was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Cortez Fire for five years; he truly loved helping others. However, Rob's greatest love was for his children, Cole and Amber.

Mourning Rob are his wife Carla, son Cole, and daughter Amber of Grand Junction, Colo.; his father and mother-in-law Tom and Pam Myers of Cahone; brother-in-law Billy Myers (Angela and Baylie) of Dove Creek; grandparents Charles and Wilma Myers and Virginia Bucher, all of Dove Creek; a brother, Rick Raney (Christa, Kayla, Taylor and Trevor) of Gallup, N.M.; as well as many other extended family and friends. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Dove Creek.
