Rose Hart Obituary
Rosary services have been scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Rose was born Oct. 7, 1935, at McPhee, Colo., the daughter of Ubaldo and Siria (Montoya) Valdez. She passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at her residence at the age of 77.
Rose was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed square dancing as well as spending time dancing at the Senior Center, and fishing.
Surviving Rose are her children, Lanette Candelaria Mitchell and husband Dave of Dolores, Bonnie Candelaria of Groundhog Lake, Jim Candelaria of Dolores, and Bob Candelaria and wife Kathy of Cortez; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Candelaria, Rachel Candelaria, Stephen Candelaria, Kristine Candelaria, and Shayla Candelaria; her sisters, Cordy Rypma and husband Jay of Farmington, N.M. and Louise Valdez of Cortez; and numerous grand-dogs.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Jim Candelaria; and by her siblings, Waldo Valdez, Stephen Valdez, Mary Martinez, and Bonnie Lobato.
Memorial contributions may be made in Rose's name to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Box 740, Cortez, CO 81321, or to the Arizona Transplant House, 5811 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85054.
