I came to know Bill as a neighbor and a very good and reliable friend. We spent hours and hours swapping stories about construction work and big jobs. I helped Bill get his Kubota tractor after he fell in love with the one I had. He fell in love with mine so much for a while it spent more time on his place then mine. Eventually feeling guilty he bought his own. He drove it like a general leading the troops. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have Bill and Gene in their circle of friends and family certainly can count themselves as being truly blessed. I know I will remember Bill and his many stories and acts of generosity, kindness and friendship forever. I wish the best for all of his family.

To the Nielson Family. Bill was wonderful friend. I started working for Nielson's Inc. when I was 23 years old and worked for them for 10 years. So sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers and condolences go out to all of the Nielson Family and friends.

May our Heavenly Father bless each of the members of the Nielson family during this time. Bill and his dear wife were special people to my own parents while they lived. They were proud to call Bill "friend". I have enjoyed their company myself. Bill has been sweet and caring and dedicated to those things which had been entrusted to his care, and I am positive he is receiving a grand reward for his faithfulness! My heart has been touched knowing him, although I have not personally seen him for several years now. God bless all of his dear loved ones who now mourn. You are in my heart and prayers.

Bill, known as Daddy Bill to the family was an important man in my life for over 50 years. He and Momma Gean were grandparents to all three of my children.. two their's biological and one their choice with love. Daddy Bill welcomed my husband into their family and they became good friends. Over the years they could sit and visit, Bill tell stories of the hard years, and they could truck any day. There is unspoken love and admiration for the man who has always been there for his family and their families, and the list goes on. It will be hard not to drop in and visit, take him to lunch, and hear a story, but am comforted that he is reunited with Momma Gean and other family members. May he RIP. He will be missed, loved forever, but never forgotten.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was an amazing man and a great friend. I have lots of wonderful memories of when we would go with the primary children over to their house to do our activities, and eat, and have a great time together. What wonderful hostesses they were. Those, plus many other memories we will hold close to our hearts. Love and prayers to all the family. Love the Larsens and the Snyders.

To the Nielson Family, One of the world's greatest story tellers has left us. Bill was a man who loved this area and it's people. When Nielson's Inc. was formed, so many people from this county were employed for many years by the company. We share your sadness for his loss, but know his was a life well lived.

My condolences to the entire Nielson family. A story I've told many times thru the years. I was 19 years old and was struggling to learn how, to operate a D8, when I saw a car approaching. It was Bill, president of Nielson's Inc. I was frightened as I knew I was probably going to be fired. He calmly climbed up on the dozer with me, sat by my side and instructed me for a couple hours on how to operate it properly. He extended a helping hand that will never be forgotten. Thanks Bill

We are sending prayers for your family! We hope you have so many cherished memories. Be sure and share them with family. We all remember when him and May Gene would come to Arkansas. Colorado seem so far away back then. Now with internet our family is able to reach out to family we haven't seen in a long time. I am Ruth Weatherton Rogers youngest daughter.
