Texa, my first cousin , was such a special person. Always cheerful and smiling.
Some of my fondest and happy childhood memories are of the times we spent vacationing at each other's homes. These visits included Texa, Norma ,me ,and my sister, Wanda. I was the "little brother" to all three of the girls.
After losing touch for many years. Texa and I somehow got back in touch, and visited via phone every few weeks. These calls invariably lasted at least an hour, sometimes several.
Now Texa was sharp...super sharp. Probably got that from her grandparents, Ma and Pa Sharp.
(Wink). Her sense of humor was surpassed only by her pride in her kids and grandkids. So proud.
I loved Texa, and will always love her and her memory.
Rest in peace, Texa ,I know where you are, and i look forward to seeing you (and Bob) on the other side.

Texa was always kind and very dedicated to her various positions in the Eastern Star. She was a beautiful person and a wonderful sister in the Star. I always looked forward to her hugs at Grand Chapter. She will be missed.

Bob Fortner´s mother was Clovis Whitt Fortner. She was my aunt on the Whitt side. We all referred to Bob as Bobby. In our usual conversation, it was always Bobby and Texa. All the Alabama Whitts loved Texa. She was a delight to be with. I remember her beautiful smile and sweet personality. We did not get to see them much through the years but we cherish the times we were with Bobby and Texa. She lived a wonderful long life of faith and family. Our hearts and prayers are with all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. -Harry Whitt (son of T. V. Whitt)
