David Henderson Obituary

On Sept 6 at 10 am, the family of David M. and Sandra L. Henderson will be having a celebration of life/graveside service for both Dave and Sandy. It will be at the Cortez Cemetery, Block 11, Lot 2, Northwest Quarter, space 1. There will be signs at the cemetery to direct attendees to the plot. One and all are welcome to come and share stories and memories.

Dave and Sandy lived in Cortez for most of their married life. They raised their family while working at various businesses. Sandy was a familiar face to many students and faculty since she worked in the school district kitchens for many years. Eventually they opened Auditronix and operated that business for several years.

Dave Henderson passed away on Jan 28, 2018, in Castle Rock, CO. He spent the last few years of his life in a care facility as he suffered from Alzheimer's.

Sandy stayed at their family home on Brookside Drive until 2021 when she moved to the Denver area to live with her daughter and her husband. Sandy moved with them to Georgia in mid-2022. Sandy passed away Nov 20, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Dave and Sandy are survived by their 3 children, Wally Henderson (Fran), Michael Henderson, and Kelly Baud (Wayne). They also had 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Sandy is survived by her two sisters, Ann Nelson of Sunset, UT and Nancy Morrison of Elko, NV.
