Thank you, Dr. K, for leading generations of middle-school students to feel at home in the cultures and ecosystems of Wyoming and the Four corners. Science Club trips gave me the skills to raise three daughters who are now fearless explorers, with an abiding love of the Southwest, and helped forge the bonds that keep many of us early-80´s Science Clubbers in touch 40 years later. You´re in every train whistle I hear (Doppler Effect!). The very deepest condolences and love to you, Julie and Joy.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief, and find comfort from knowing that God draws close to the broken-hearted.

We are sure going to miss our brother-in-law, Duane. Enjoyed all his stories and the adventures we took with him and his wife, Joy, fishing and traveling in the mountains.
