Glenn French Obituary

Glenn Charles French passed away on July 31, 2024 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colorado. Chuck passed peacefully with his wife of over 49 years by his side. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 16, 2024. Chuck was born on August 24, 1946 in Santa Maria, California. He had two loving parents Glenn D. French and Lena Mae West who adopted him at the age of 3 in 1949.

Chuck was a veteran and served in Germany during Vietnam. He was a member of the Cortez American Legion Post 74, Cortez Masonic Lodge 133, Al Klay Shriner & Escalante Shrine Club.

Chuck is survived by his wife Patti Wells French of Cortez, Colorado; and sons, Shane French and Shawn (Darla Foote) French, both of Cortez, and (from a previous marriage)Terry French, of Prescott, Arizona. He is also survived by cousins Barbra Floyd (Sam) of Buckeye, Arizona and Kenny West (Mary) of California. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is loved and will be missed by many friends and family.

Arrangements are being made by Williams Funeral Home & JWN Crematory of Durango. Memorial Services will be Friday, Aug. 9 at noon at the Cortez American Legion Post 75. The family invites you to please stay for the reception to follow.
